National Collaboration
The School of Innovation, Design, and Engineering (IDT) has a long-standing tradition of close collaboration with external partners through co-production and co-creation. In many respects, IDT has embodied MDU’s vision of being a co-producing university—long before the term was formally introduced.
Our partnerships bridge academia and industry, involving collaboration with fellow researchers, companies, and organisations beyond the traditional university context. These collaborations are both national and international, connecting us with partners across Sweden and around the globe.

Out of Sweden’s 35 universities and university colleges, we co-authored publications with people from 20 of them in 2024
