Collaboration in Education

In 2024 alone, IDT was involved in 10 European education projects, with the highlight being the granting of the SUNRISE European Alliance project, focusing on STEAM and societal impact, and including 9 European universities and 47 associated partners.

Since 2016, IDT has been a key actor in the E+ KA171 ICM scheme for staff and student mobility, including, since 2022, being granted ~30% of Sweden's national budget, funding 250 scholarships.

Our collaboration with Latin America includes partnerships with Universidad de Antioquia (Colombia) and Universidad Tecnológica de Panamá. In late 2024, we were granted €0.8M EU Erasmus+ CBHE project to extend our Latin American collaboration, including building physical smart rooms at partner universities, as well as providing staff training and support distributed student collaboration.

We currently have the following joint degree programmes in collaboration with international partner universities:

• Engineering of Data-intensive Intelligent Software Systems in partnership with Åbo Akademi (FI), University of the Balearic Islands (SP), and University of L’Aquila (IT).
• Nordic Master Programme in Intelligent Software Systems in partnership with Åbo Akademi (FI) and Reykjavik University (IS).
