About SNABS

The Swedish Network for Advanced Business Studies (SNABS) is a network that seeks to strengthen the capacity and quality of high-level doctoral education in Business Administration, Industrial Management and similar subjects.

The current network members

Chalmers University of Technology, Halmstad University, Jönköping International Business School, Karlstad University, Linköping University, Mälardalen University, Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm University, Södertörn University, University of Gothenburg, University of Gävle, University of Skövde, Örebro University and Linnaeus University.


Our purpose

SNABS purpose is to strengthen the capacity and quality of high-level doctoral education in Business Administration, Industrial Management, and similar subjects. Initially, the purpose of SNABS is

  1. to help PhD-candidates in Business Administration and Industrial Management with finding suitable PhD-courses, and
  2. to facilitate the development of collaboration between the member universities. The initiative will also increase mobility for PhD-candidates within the member universities and encourage more research cooperation.

SNABS also offers a number of SNABS-courses that are financed by Jan Wallander and Tom Hedelius foundation, Tore Browalds foundation.


If you are a PhD-candidate at one of the member universities you (normally) do not have to pay for participating in courses registered at this web-site. Please observe that the participating higher education institutions themselves provide the information about the courses presented on this website. SNABS accepts no responsibility or liability for the information and materials that are presented on this website.

Always check issues concerning PhD-course participation (e.g., course quality, suitability with your project, how you can transfer course credits, etc.) with your supervisor/director of studies before enrolling in a PhD-course.
