What is the RESILIENT Competence Centre?
The goal of the RESILIENT Competence Centre is to promote the development towards a resilient energy system, which means meeting challenges and taking into account transition trends by developing and applying tools and solutions. The approach combines technical, economic and sociological aspects of the challenges and related solutions.
RESILIENT is a 5-year program, 2022-2027, with a total budget of SEK 189 million. The competence center is co-financed by the Swedish Energy Agency, 5 academic partners and over 30 partners from the business and public sectors. The overall goal of RESILIENT is to drive the research front forward, while developing technologies and solutions that can be implemented by participating partners.
The competence center currently consists of more than 15 research projects including doctoral students, postdocs, senior researchers and partners from industry and the public sector, and there are several cross-cutting activities involving more than one project. Knowledge is shared in a variety of workshops, more specifically at project level and in general terms at Centre level, the latter with a strong focus on resilience.
The centre is led by Mälardalen University in close collaboration with the University of Gävle, Uppsala University, Umeå University and RISE, together with 30+ partners from the business and public sectors. New partners are welcomed to join, to meet and collaborate with others in the sector.
