Use Case 5

- A platform-related use-case, including cloud continuum, robust and fault-tolerance aspects, cyber-security, and real-time.
Scope
This use-case focuses on the efficient management and dynamic allocation of heavy com putational workloads in a heterogeneous computing environment. This will involve a scenario where mixed core-edge technologies are used to dynamically reallocate workloads, adapting to computa tional demands and resource availability changes. The use case will focus on a practical application such as a smart production system. By leveraging core and edge computing resources, the system could efficiently process large datasets in real time, adapting to changing traffic conditions. This would showcase the capabilities of the developed software and hardware frameworks in handling complex, real-world computational tasks in a dependable and predictable manner, aligned with the research focus on dependable and predictable software systems using heterogeneous computing and communication architectures.
