Use Case 1

  • Challenges relating to the new ABB Robotics factory in Vasteras

Scope

This use case centres on advancing future production setups, addressing the evolving demands of operational resilience, responsiveness to customer needs, and sustainability. Traditionally, production systems focused on cost efficiency, striving for optimal product quality at the lowest cost. However, the future necessitates a paradigm shift towards flexibility with minimal risk in production processes. The use case targets the development of innovative automation methods tailored for application in the new ABB Robotics factory, and the flexible production line at MITC. They emphasise advanced robotics and digital solutions, facilitating companies to adapt to dynamic customer requirements swiftly.
