Mälardalen University is behind this website. We want as many people as possible to be able to use the website. Content that is not available
User settings for dark and light mode
The website does not respect users' dark and light mode preferences. We plan to address this during 2026/2027.
Document
There is a very large number of documents that are not yet accessible. Work is ongoing to make all documents accessible on a continuous basis.
Video
Some videos lack subtitles.
Almost all videos on the website lack audio descriptions.
Pictures
There are a large number of images that lack text descriptions (alt text).
Title
Heading levels are not used in a correct hierarchical order on some pages. On certain pages, bold text is used instead of properly marking up the text as a heading. Work is ongoing to address these accessibility issues on a continuous basis.
Quote
Quotes are not marked as quotes in the HTML code on all pages where quotes are found.
Links
The purpose of links and where they lead is not consistently stated for all links on the website
Lists
It happens that lists only contain one list item.
Tables
Tables are used to create layout on some pages.
Some tables have low quality table descriptions.
Table headers are not correctly marked up in some tables.
Empty lines
Empty lines are used to create spacing on some pages.
Contrast
Colors of text and background tiles do not have high enough contrast on parts of the website.
Dark mode and high contrast
Some dark mode and high contrast tools do not display all web content correctly.
How we tested the website
Our consultants HiQ have reviewed www.mdu.se and corrected technical accessibility deficiencies. The latest review was completed on August, 2024.
The website was published on December 5, 2019.
