Emilia Rovira Nordman elected as the National Representative for Sweden on the EIBA Board

This article was written before our official name change on January 1, 2022 from Mälardalen University (MDH) to Mälardalen University (MDU).

We are proud to announce that our Associate Professor of International Marketing Emilia Rovira Nordman is elected as the National Representative for Sweden on the EIBA Board. EIBA is a professional society for academics and others interested in the field of International Business (IB), serving as a community network that promotes research, global communication, knowledge transfer, life-long learning and exchanges of ideas. EIBA consists of about 500 members from over 50 countries representing all five continents.

- I am greatly honored to serve as the National Representative (NR) for Sweden on the EIBA Board. Sweden has a strong IB-tradition, and there are many strategic benefits of working together over institutional borders to improve the quality, scope and critical mass in Swedish IB research, says Emilia Rovira Nordman.

- I am currently network convener for the Swedish Network of Advanced Business Studies, and my experiences from this role will help strengthen the ties between all Swedish EIBA members. This is an great opportunity to enhance the possibilities for joint research applications and scientific problem solving.

Emilia Rovira Nordman is an Associate Professor of International Marketing at Mälardalen University and a research fellow at the Stockholm School of Economics. Since 2019, Emilia is Head of subject at the Marketing and Strategy Department at Mälardalen University. With many skilled international business scholars (e.g. Ulf Andersson, Emre Yildiz, Aswo Safari and Annoch Hadjikhani), the department a vigorous research focus on strategy and international management and international marketing and management. The department has over the past years produced a significant number of high quality articles in journals such as International Business Review, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of World Business, British Journal of Management, Global Strategy Journal, International Marketing Review, among many others. The department has also attracted material external funding from grant awarding bodies.

Emilia Rovira Nordman has a long-time connection to EIBA and has received several EIBA-awards (e.g. The IMR International Marketing Prize and the European Journal of International Management Prize). She has also produced numerous IB-papers in journals such as International Business Review, Journal of World Business, British Journal of Management, International Marketing Review, Technovation, Entrepreneurship & Regional Development, European Management Journal, European Business Review and Journal of Business & Industrial Marketing.
