Can digital transformation help Swedish firms' international growth?
Did you know that there is a lack of evidence that digitalization is indeed the inevitable next big thing for both newcomers and established firms? At Mälardalen University researchers aim to understand if digital transformation is a “Silver bullet” that can help Swedish firms' international growth.
To that end, MDH researchers will seek to answer what are different domains of digitalization and what types of skills and capabilities are required by Swedish firms to make the most out of emerging digitalization trends. Answers to these questions have important implications that could help policy makers decide on which sectors digitalization efforts should be prioritized.
– I've just got the gratifying news that we have received 1.5 million SEK to conduct research to develop a better way to measure firms’ digital transformation, which is crucial to understand costs and benefits of digital transformation for Swedish firms in terms of their innovativeness, operational efficiency and international growth, says researcher Harun Emre Yildiz.
